2. Matthew 1 & Luke 1 - Lessons of mercy, grace, and peace from Jesus' family before His birth. Lessons from Jesus' genealogy (Come Follow Me 2023: January 2–8. Matthew 1; Luke 1)
Come Follow Me 2023: January 2–8. Matthew 1; Luke 1: “Be It unto Me according to Thy Word”
John the Baptist and Jesus' miraculous births are announced. Powerful lessons are taught by Mary and Joseph. We meet the first witnesses of the Messiah (who are both women) and analyze parts of a prophecy from Zacharias.
These chapters include some of my favorite lessons from people within Jesus' family, and I think they are perfect foreshadows of Jesus' ministry of love, healing, and mercy.
