070 - Emily Pfenning | Disability Justice, Intersectionality, and Curated Authenticity
On this episode we chat with Emily Pfenning. Emily is an "almost" Oregon native originally adopted as a baby from India. She works in real estate as the director of operations for a small local team. Emily serves on her office's DEI committee, and several other committees and groups. Outside of the office, she enjoys reading constantly, teaching English through EngIN, leading book groups and workshops on current events and social issues like equity, disability justice, and global corruption as well as serving in local mutual aid efforts, and spending time with her pets and partner.
Emily has a lot of insight into Disability Justice, Intersectionality, and “Curated Authenticity.” We know our listeners will love her perspective, and if you want to jump straight to the interview you can head to 28:30. You can follow Emily on Twitter at @eofallthings and if you’d like to show appreciation for her interview, Emily has suggested making a donation to creators that she learns from - Alicia Crosby Mack (@aliciatcrosby on Twitter) or Imani Barbarin (@imani_barbarin on Twitter).
