Hypothesis: that listening to this episode will be at least ten times more enjoyable than reading The Love Hypothesis.
Welcome back! As our first book for 2023, we read the Reylo fanfic-turned-TikTok Bestseller, The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood.
The Love Hypothesis follows Olive, a biology PhD candidate and certified quirky girl, who launches herself into a fake dating scenario by locking lips with the first person she lays eyes on. The trouble is, the fella she’s been tangling tonsils with is none other than Dr Adam Carlson (known ass and very serious science guy). Cue: Awkward sexual encounters, a lot of chat about broccoli and cheesy sunshine-girl, grumpy-guy plot lines.
In this episode we discuss expired contacts, the overwhelming largeness of Adam Driver, sunscreen safety and the merits of writing fan fiction.
