The commodification of housing has led to some very dark and nefarious policy. Due to the pandemic, we’ve seen vulnerable Canadians struggle to keep a roof over their head with no relief, we’ve seen champions of those who sleep on the street be demonized, and we’ve seen a lack of action by our elected officials.

In today’s drop, we’re joined by Toronto correspondent Dylan Day to discuss The city’s battle against solutions and poor policy choices that have brought it to bear. Then, we’re joined by Dr. Michael Courey from the London Poverty Research Centre for a look at the massive arrears that renters face, the future of housing under capitalism, and how we can build power through socialist organizing to change the system - and house us all.
