Some episodes are about Oscar winners, and some are about the total opposite! In this one, Mark goes on a ride over the rainbow with returning guest, filmmaker, and podcaster Jeff Frumess as they discuss the original Leprechaun for its 30th anniversary this month. The horror comedy, which was released in theaters (can you imagine?) on January 8, 1993, felt super serious when they were kids, but is actually not serious at all from an adult's perspective. Jennifer Aniston was pre-Friends here, and her hair wasn't yet "The Rachel," as a high maintenance vegetarian who becomes our heroine in this first Trimark film about a 600-year-old leprechaun who just wants his 100 stolen gold coins back. Green blood, gory action, and a random crotch grab... Early 90s horror at its finest!
