Guide Dogs & Canes - How They Can Work Together

It's a slightly different weekend show today as Steven is joined by Shaun Preece to discuss an issue that has been bothering Steven for a while - talking down the white cane while talking up guide dogs. Steven believes that both options are right for the individual who chooses them and it shouldn't ever be seen as a lesser than the other situation. Steven has himself had occasion where people have told him that not having a guide dog tells them that he is not really blind and he wanted to talk about that today folloing his recent comments on the subject on Twitter. During that Twitter discussion he came into contact with a mother of a blind son who has been learning how to use both mobility aids as part of his orientation and mobility lessons.
