Ep2 — 5 Ways to Ground Yourself in the Present Moment
Do you ever get overwhelmed with intrusive thoughts about your past or your current situation, resulting in feelings of anxiety and heightened stress? Or do you ever experience depression or low mood from these intrusive thoughts? Well if you do, you’re not alone. These types of feelings are not uncommon, especially because we live in busy, stressful, and complex times. It’s easy at any point to feel ungrounded. The feeling of being ungrounded can stem from things like Finding yourself in a situation that doesn’t align with your values, goals, or purpose. Or being “flooded” by emotions or thoughts from your past. Or even thinking about your future and how you are going to accomplish your dream lifestyle, or you notice yourself just trying to accomplish too many things at the same time.
The good news it’s relatively easy to know how to ground yourself. Like anything, the more you consistently practice something, the easier it will become. And the more you practice grounding yourself to gain that sense of calm to live in the present moment, the more you will receive the benefits of doing so.
In this episode, I want to talk about 5 helpful ways to help Ground Yourself in the Present moment.
