August 2017, Corning, New York. Forty-seven year old Lloyd Neurauter is tired of making child support payments for his fourteen-year-old daughter, and decided it was time to hatch a plan-to murder his ex-wife and make it look like a suicide. When it came to fruition, no one believed that Michele would take her own life. And when authorities went digging, they found more information than they ever imagined. He was charming and charismatic—more cult leader than father, and over time, he brainwashed his own daughter Karrie into worshiping him, believing him and trusting him enough to help carry out his murderous plan.
