Main Topic - Marvel Snap
Disclaimer
We are not switching to be a podcast about Marvel Snap. It’s ok if you want to leave now, we won’t resent you.
Quick Summary
Fast paced 12 card singleton deck battler
Games are usually less than 5 minutes
6 turn games baring TVA or Magik
3 Center locations that are revealed left to right on turns 1-3
These are kinda like Magic’s lands as they introduce a large amount of variance into the game
Is Marvel Snap a competitor to Magic?
Discuss Arena vs Snap
Developer communication
Not as deep a game as Magic, but still really meaty
Currency
Gold
Can be used to purchase Credits, refresh Missions, or Variants. It can be earned from caches or rank levels.
Can also be purchased with money.
Credits
Earned through missions and caches or purchased with Gold.
Can be used to level up cards and buy fast upgrades
Tokens
Earned from caches on the collector level.
Used to buy cards from the Token Shop
Boosters
Earned from playing games, gaining Card Levels, and gaining Season Levels

Effective Ways to Use Currency
Gold
Always best used to refill quests to earn points for the ladder and tokens to upgrade cards.
Credits:
I always upgrade all cards once. After that, I will usually level the cards I play.
I feel like you get more bang for your buck when you save up a day's worth of credits to upgrade cards.
Tokens
Buy cards that enable a new deck with other cards you already own
Significant upgrades to current decks

Ladders
Collection Level:
A ladder you climb by upgrading cards where you can earn gold, credits, tokens, new cards, and various other aesthetics
Rank:
Your rank rises by how many cubes you earn from games.
As you rise in rank you can get gold, variants, or credits.
Resets every Season
Season Ladder:
Gives you a new card every month and you gain gold, tokens, boosters, variants, and other aesthetics.
Weekly Challenge
Earned by completing quests.
Earns Gold, Tokens, Seasonal Ladder Points
Decks
I personally love the dynamic deck building this game offers.
You don’t have to have an optimal deck to win
Multiple versions of the same deck (IE. Aggro Sera Surfer vs Control)
The meta changes Monthly, at a minimum every month, but there are also Hot and Featured locations
Hot locations are in 60% of games and appear for a 24 hour window
Featured locations are in 40% of games, and appear for a 48 hour window
Collecting New cards
This is the funnest part of the game, and seeing yoru collection grow is pretty satisfying, and something I think most Magic players would enjoy (It’s kinda like opening a booster, but guaranteed to get new cards only)
