Cliff Bleszinski is a former Epic Games Design Director and twenty-five-year veteran of the video game industry. During his days at Epic, he was a key visionary behind the award-winning, multimillion-selling Unreal game series and the billion-dollar Gears of War franchise, and also lent his creative expertise to games such as Fortnite. On this episode, Cliff talks with Matt about his new memoir, Control Freak: My Epic Adventure Making Video Games. Cliff and Matt also talk about topics like Gamergate, screen time, whether video games inspire mass shootings, and how Cliff’s opposition to Donald Trump impacted his career.
