We’re talking with Meridian Library Director Nick Grove about going viral for pushing back against censorship and harassment at a recent Meridian Library Meeting. We get into the safety precautions Nick’s family has had to take, the compassion he has for people in his community living in fear and hate, and why he told the crowd that day that he would not be bullied, period.
Plus, Boise Mayor Lauren McLean’s accepting applications for the two vacant seats on city council. The roles opened up after Lisa Sánchez lost her seat because she moved out of the district she represents, and Elaine Clegg took on a new role as CEO of Valley Transit. The mayor’s taking applications now through February 14, and she plans to decide upon finalists to suggest to city council in early March.
