Do You Really Know Someone Before You Have Kids With Them
Do you play with your kids? Like actually get down on the ground and play? Cos we're really not sure we have it in us, and is that ok? Or do we suck? And if partners had asked us before becoming parents if we would want to play with our kids, surely it would have been a resounding "OF COURSE!" This deep, PhD leads us to wondering what other things you just can't know about someone before you embark on parenthood with them; like where they fall on the helicopter parent scale and if they're #TeamHover or Hands-Off. We wonder if nurses hate all their friends with kids and we unpack whether swearing is really that much of a big fucking deal? And because it turns out we're terrible salty pirates, guess who's kid is watching The Bachelor? But hey, its getting her 2 odd hours of alone time so...is it all that bad? Chores as games, skid marks and the unending domestic divide, we really get into a lot this week, and once again..don't really solve a thing, but we're here, we're sweary and we love our Dear Listeners, even if they are bad parents who make empty threats.
