Rep Andrew Clyde's Lies About Capitol Attack Make Him Star Defense Witness in Insurrectionist Trials

In an exercise of propaganda that would make George Orwell blush, Georgia Representative Andrew Clyde tells the American people that the January 6 insurrection never happened and that the behavior of the people in the US Capitol that day "looked like a normal tourist visit." With those absurd statements, Congressman Clyde likely has made himself a star witness at all future trials of those who breached the Capitol, damaged property and assaulted police officers. Each defendant now has a basis to subpoena Clyde and force him to testify in their defense that there was no insurrection on January 6 and that the people in the Capitol behaved just like tourists on any other day.
