Episode 20: Loving Your People with Janice Burger

In this episode, I talk with Janice Burger, recently retired  CEO of Providence St. Vincent Medical Center and Providence Milwaukee Medical Center. She focuses on her mantra of leadership: love your people. Janice talks about using bedrock values of honesty, devotion, and service that she learned from her father and has personified through nearly four decades of leadership within the Providence system.

She shares her insights about being perfect versus being human, and the importance to allow apology and reconciliation to go through our leadership skills. Finally, we talk about the importance of relationships and developing those as a foundational basis for top-level executive performance
