SITD 2/2/23: NWA Powerrr Returns & The End of an Era for NJPW Strong

John Siino reviews this week’s editions of AEW Dark, AEW Dark: Elevation, IMPACT Wrestling, MLW Fusion, Women of Wrestling, NXT Level Up, NJPW Strong, NWA USA, NWA Powerrr, and WWE Main Event in under 15 minutes on Shot In The Dark.

This week we see the end of the traditional NJPW Strong format, before it goes through a transition as Fred Rosser defends the NJPW Strong Openweight Championship against Peter Avalon, before being confronted by KENTA ahead of their ‘Battle of the Valley’ showdown, as well as Mistico vs. Misterioso and Blake Christian vs. Keita.

On NXT Level Up, we have SCRYPTS vs. Oro Mensah, and a pair of debuts including Lola Vice as she takes on Dani Palmer, and Kale Dixon has his first match against Dante Chen.

NWA Powerrr returns with a special ‘LIVE!’ episode that includes the finals of the Champions Series, new United States Tag Team Champions, a contract signing between Tyrus & Matt Cardona and a wedding between Aron Stevens & May Valentine, that’s officiated by a familiar face named ‘Sam Teano’.

Also, The Dark Order tries to recruit Yuka Sakazaki on the special 100th episode of AEW Dark: Elevation, Sam Adonis debuts on MLW Fusion, Coach Campanelli & Randi Rah Rah gain momentum on Women of Wrestling, Tara returns on IMPACT Wrestling, Konosuke Takeshita vs. Angelico on AEW Dark, Bronson Reed vs. Akira Tozawa on WWE Main Event and more!
