At 3:42 a.m. on February 17, 1970, dispatchers at Fort Bragg received an emergency phone call from Jeffrey MacDonald, who faintly spoke into the receiver: "Help! Five forty-four Castle Drive! Stabbing! Five forty-four Castle Drive! Stabbing! Hurry!" When authorities arrived they found Macdonald's pregnant wife and 2 young daughters stabbed to death and Jeffrey mildly wounded. Jeffrey says it was 4 acid heads that did it, the military police say otherwise. What would follow is a 40 plus year saga for Jeffrey to try and prove his innocence.
