“So much for Mr. ReliaBILity.”
There’s something odd going on in Frenchtown. Well, aside from the non-existent French population. Steve, owner and primary operator of an independent video rental shop, receives a snuff film in his dropbox—and the strangeness doesn’t stop there. His only employee disappears shortly thereafter, the small town’s sheriff seems hell bent on not believing him, and more homemade tapes continue to turn up.
VIDEO VIOLENCE is an ‘80s SOV essential, cherished by those who mourn the days of strolling video store aisles and renting movies in-person. In a large way, it’s a time capsule of a bygone era, with lots of cheesy goodness thrown in for good measure.
