It's that time of year, snowstorms slam the country from west to east. And hey, we love snow, but it can get old. But are we thinking about it the right way? In fact, it's another way for us to see and enjoy God's creation and reflect on just how majestic He is.
Job 38:22 says, “Have you entered the storehouses of the snow?”
What a beautiful picture. In this section of Job, God tells the suffering man about the incredible design and beauty He placed in creation, and that includes each unique snowflake.
Think about it. There are storehouses of snow, an infinite number of artistic flakes of ice, and God made it part of the variety of our lives for our enjoyment.
So yeah, shoveling snow or skidding to the store for milk before the big storm hits might not be strictly fun. But if we see those things only that way, we're missing beauty that is truly indescribable. God created storehouses of wonder just for you.
Let's pray. Lord, thank you for snow and for reminding us that you created a delightful world for us to live in. In Jesus' name. Amen.
