Nick talks to Mike and Time about his upbringing and experiences with police as a young African American boy. Why did he want to become a police officer? How did his time in the military speak into it? Despite the fact that the five officers who beat Tyre Nichols to death, was this a racially motivated crime? How do we begin to change this narrative in America? What does the Institute for American Policing Reform do? How can we help?
