Kara Nichols disappeared on October 9, 2012 when she was 19 years old. Kara had some issues in her past and was using drugs. She told her family that she was getting modeling gigs, but she was really prostituting to get money to fuel her habit.
After Kara's brother did not hear from her in a few days, he reported her missing to the El Paso County Sheriff's office, and like we've heard time and time again said she was an adult and didn't have to talk to her family if she didn't want to.
After a few weeks of no contact, Kara's family and friends pressured the El Paso County Sheriff's office to start looking into her disappearance. Several tips were looked into, but nothing was found.
The case was worked on here or there, but the big break came in 2022, 10 years after Kara's disappearance.
What was the conclusion? Was Kara ever found? Listen now to episode 131 on - The Murder of Kara Nichols.
