Vasant Swaha tells the story of a monk who visited Master Kisu and soon was ready to leave, saying he would go all over to learn the five flavors of Zen. Kisu agreed there were five flavors of Zen and told the monk that there he had only one. The monk asked what that sole flavor was, to which the Master responded. While telling this story, Swaha demonstrates not only how a disciple must be open and receptive to understand, but also how we can benefit from the five flavors of Zen.
Vasant Swaha is an enlightened Master sharing his love, joy, and wisdom in retreats. This is an excerpt from a Satsang on the 27th of July, 2022, during the “Summer Retreat" in Dharma Mountain, Norway.
