Though, it’s never that simple. Today we take on the topic of antinutrients. Antinutrients are plant-made chemicals that bind and potentially prevent the absorption of important vitamins and minerals. The most controversial of these antinutrients is lectin. Lectins are found in beans, peanuts, tomatoes, potatoes, lentils, and many other foods. Some medical influencers advise removing these foods from the diet completely. But is that really necessary?
