What I have found, from coaching a lot of people in midlife and being in midlife myself, is there comes a point where we tire of certain aspects of ourselves (or someone close to us tires of it first 😊).
We are often aware of the behaviours and habits that are costing us, but we feel like we just can’t change.
We convince ourselves of why we can’t change:
I’m not disciplined or have no self-control
I need to do this to wind down (i.e. drink or scroll)
I just don’t have the energy
I don’t have time to work on my relationship
And the list goes on.
But to make a change in your life, you need to be able to ask yourself the right questions. Asking the right questions of yourself can fundamentally change your perspection and increase your motivation for change.
So today I wanted to share with one of my favourite questions I use with my clients and with myself that I have seen powerful results from.
I also share a personal story of how this question has impacted my own relationship.
