I'm contemplating love and feeling the prick of conviction. Can I really attain godly love--the love attributes spoken of in the Word of God (1 Corinthians)? I am to be like God and mirror Him to the world. But ... what if these verses of love excellence were a description of Him? What if these declarations of love point the way to love without guilt or oppressive condemnation? Can we really love like God? Not fully, but with one love victory after another, we will mirror Him.
According to 2 Peter 1, we add attributes a to our growing faith until we reach brotherly love. That I can do -- one love step, one victory at a time.
