SITD 2/23/23: Thorpe-NXT, Booker-AEW, New NWA Women’s Tag Champs… Twice

John Siino reviews this week’s editions of AEW Dark, AEW Dark: Elevation, IMPACT Wrestling, MLW Fusion, Women of Wrestling, NXT Level Up, MLW Underground Wrestling, NWA USA, NWA Powerrr, and WWE Main Event in under 15 minutes on Shot In The Dark.

This week on AEW Dark, we have the debut of Brady Booker (formerly Bodhi Hayward of NXT) as he takes on Dak Draper, Preston Vance tries to take another luchador mask and a trio of stellar matches between Emi Sakura/Billie Starkz, Matt Sydal/Slim J, Trent Beretta/Tony Nese and a tease for QTV.

On MLW Underground Wrestling, we have the return of John Hennigan as we see which side he chooses in Cesar Duran’s war against MLW, Mance Warner runs Real1 over with a car and Alex Hammerstone defends the MLW World Heavyweight Championship against YAMATO of Dragon Gate before getting approached with an octopus in a box.

NXT Level Up sees the debut of Eddy Thorpe (the former Karl Fredericks from NJPW) as he takes on Dante Chen, Xyon Quinn faces off against the much bigger Oba Femi and Valentina Feroz tries to figure out what to do with Elektra Lopez before taking on Ivy Nile.

Also, The Lucha Brothers vs. Tony Nese & Ari Daivari on AEW Dark: Elevation, The Fixers steal the US Tag Team titles on NWA USA, Kandi Krush vs. Chainsaw on Women of Wrestling, we get new Women’s Tag Team Champions (twice) on NWA Powerrr, Bron Breakker debuts on WWE Main Event, the debut of Barry Horowitz on IMPACT Wrestling and more!
