Emancipate Your Mind: 101: Resolving Internal Values Conflicts
Have you ever experienced that feeling of being pulled between two competing values?
It can feel like you’re in the middle of a huge game of tug of war as you wrestle between two values that mean so much to you. No matter what you choose, it feels like you lose something important. Sometimes the fight is so fierce that we feel stuck or paralyzed between the choices- choosing in essence not to make a choice. Sometimes we feel guilty or resentful no matter which we choose.
In this episode, we explore why it can be so hard to decide between two values, how binary thinking comes into play, and how we can begin to get these two parts of our brains to work together and perhaps create even better outcomes than we first imagined.

NEED COUPLES OR RELIGIOUS TRAUMA COACHING?
My husband, Kevin, is now taking new clients as a couples and religious trauma coach.
He’s a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado and offers therapy in person, by video call, and by telephone within state lines, but can provide therapy-informed coaching outside of the state and even outside of the country.
To find out more about how to work with him, check out his page on the Colorado Counseling Center website. Click on the link labeled “Schedule with Kevin” to talk with his secretary, Annette, about how to work with him in either capacity as a therapist or as a coach. She’ll be able to give you all of the information you need to decide if working with Kevin is the right fit for you.
