I want to introduce you to Lil Fee, a talented musician and educator with a remarkable career journey. Lil Fee has been a professional musician for over 25 years, touring the country and releasing eight self-penned albums. She has achieved many milestones throughout her career, including being the first woman to perform at the East Coast Blues Festival and programming the Woodford Folk Festival for many years. However, Lil Fee's life took a sudden turn in 2010 when she moved to the Northern Rivers and had a near-death experience after falling off a loading dock. This incident left her unable to speak or write, and she was forced to rewire her brain. As she recovered, Lil Fee was introduced to early years music through a program called Rapa Daisy, and this sparked a passion in her for working with special needs children. For the next ten years, Lil Fee ran an incursions business on the border of Queensland and New South Wales, teaching a thousand children a week and driving 700 kilometers a week. However, the COVID-19 pandemic brought her business to a halt, and Lil Fee decided to pursue her dream of working in family daycare. Moving to Tasmania to reduce her expenses, Lil Fee began connecting with family daycare providers online and developing her business. She has been able to bring her passion for music education to children in family daycare settings, offering a unique and personalized experience that is not possible in traditional long daycare centers. Lil Fee's journey is a testament to the resilience and determination of the human spirit.
