Since the outbreak of mpox in 2022, we have learned much about this infectious and communicable poxvirus. Traditionally, many poxviruses were named in relation to animals in which the virus was observed. However, some stigmatizing concepts and language have been attributed to the name monkeypox. So, the name of the virus has been changed from monkeypox to mpox. Join this podcast to learn more about this viral disease now referred to as mpox: presentation, identification, transmission, testing, and overall concepts related to care.
