Kathy left her house on the evening of November 21st, 1971, telling her sister she'd be right back; she was just heading out to grab some snacks. But as the night crept forward, Kathy never returned, and on the following day, her brutally beaten body was discovered, and police scrambled to find her killer.
As their search moved forward, politics, multiple agency involvement, and a lack of DNA evidence collection, all became an encumbrance to the investigation. With few suspects on their list, would police finally hone in on their initial person of interest, even without forensic evidence to back it up? Or would an unexpected confession decades later hold the key to who killed Kathy?
