'With someone with anxiety, the biggest fear they're avoiding is feeling fear and that can be exhausting. Instead, we can embrace fear and learn how to accept it.'
If you've ever struggled with anxiety, panic attacks or depression it can feel terribly overwhelming and defeating. You often wonder if it's possible to be free from its stronghold.
Sarah Ball is the author of Fearless In 21 Days: A Survivor's Guide To Overcoming Anxiety. She went from a self-proclaimed suck it up princess to fearing for her life. When she was forced to navigate her own journey to healing she used what she learned to help hundreds of others overcome their struggles with mental health.
This conversation is completely changed my viewpoint on mental health. As a survivor of anxiety and depression myself I realized that there is still so much I have to learn. Sarah candidly shares her story, and how she has overcome anxiety, depression as well as Harm OCD.
In the first part of the conversation, we touch on the reason people struggle to overcome mental health and instead of getting the help they make their lives small to accommodate their illness.
We also talk about the church, and how it handles mental health, and what we need to be doing to help people navigate their mental health.
