Episode 167 -Bud Damberg and Tammy Sinibaldo, two friends that do intermittent fasting for very different reasons. IF is not just about weight loss.
Hey friends! Bud’s story is fantastic- as I began seeing his transformation, and even the way he spoke about his experience, it reminded me of a Connecticut version of Graeme Currie! I introduced Bud to IF and even gave him your book in the parking lot of a funeral home before going into the service- I remember thinking I shouldn't look so happy walking into a funeral, but I had never had anyone else ask me about it. I actually found IF because I was looking for an alternative to going on meds for ADHD! I was (very easily and quickly) diagnosed at 46 (I just turned 49). My weight has only fluctuated slightly - maybe 5-10 pounds- but I am a clear: Non-Scale Victory story proving that IF is not just about weight loss.
Tammy
Buds story.
I am 59 years old a single parent of three adult children and a grandfather to two. I live in Old Saybrook Connecticut in the USA, a small town on the shoreline in the New England section of the United States. I work in sales management as a customer business manager for a consumer products company in the confectionary industry and have worked in the industry for the past 30 years. Prior to covid I was on the road traveling almost weekly, living in airports, Marriott hotels, and rental cars. The past year, post covid, I’m traveling around 50% of pre-covid. When I was younger, as a child, I never had weight issues, I was thin, and it was not until my early to mid-forties did weight start to become an issue for me. It added up slowly I would yoyo diet, eat low-fat, workout, lose the weight only for it to go back on plus. I did this a few times over the past 15 to 18 years, I knew it was not healthy and each time I’d lose weight, I would say to myself, this is it not coming back on. Only for the weight to come back plus additional pounds. My high point was March 2021 at 267 lbs. or 121 kilograms. It was most likely higher than 267, I was avoiding scales at the time. I knew I had to lose weight and when my father said to me in early March 2021, he wanted to see me lose weight, I knew I could no longer avoid the situation. More in the this episode.
