In New York's East Village during the summer of 1967 it was all about peace and love. But that all came crashing to a halt when on October 8, a young hippie couple, Linda and Groovy, were found brutally beaten to death in the basement of a dirty tenement building on Avenue B. The murder rattled the hippie culture-and would prove that drug induced violence had deadly consequences.
