Mark Lampman is someone I’ve followed for a while now on Instagram because he motivates me. He’s nearly twice my age, but time and time again he gets after it in the mountains. I look at Mark as someone who inspires me to push myself past what I think I’m capable of and to not ever use age as an excuse to stop exploring difficult places.
When I asked Mark to come on the podcast, I told him I just wanted to hear his perspective on things. I wanted to learn what it was like from his point of view and understand why he does what he does. What I got in return were some great stories, a unique look into what his journey has been with backpacking, and even more inspiration than before.
This chat with Mark is something I’ll cherish for a long time. If you have an appreciation for seeing the backcountry through the eyes of someone else, I think you’ll really like this episode.
