Freed After 30 Years in Prison: The Murder of Dana Feitler and the Wrongful Conviction of Lee Harris
After a night out celebrating her acceptance into grad school, Dana Feitler returned home to her apartment complex in Chicago's affluent Gold Coast neighborhood where she was abducted by 3 men. After forcing her to withdraw $400 from ATM, she was lead to an alley and shot and killed.
Desperate for leads, police turned to a cop-friendly informant, willing to say anything to help them. That person was Lee Harris. Lee said he was helping police in return for reward money put up by the victim’s family. That’s when it went all wrong for him. Despite their promises, Lee was arrested and convicted for Feitler's murder in 1992. He has proclaimed his innocence for over three decades and as of last week, Lee Harris' conviction has been vacated and he is now a free man. The case was featured on Season 4 of 'Reasonable Doubt' and Chris & Fatima are here to give you all the updates. Featuring special guests: Lee Harris and his son, Jermaine Harris.
