#34: Surviving a 28,000 Volt Electrocution Incident with Peter Van Horn
On this episode, we hear the detailed story of Peter Van Horn's survival when 28,000 Volts passed through his body. To give you a frame of reference, people typically die or experience traumatic injury when they are shocked with more than 3,000 Volts. Pete was told that surviving 28,000 Volts is equivalent to the probability of a one in a million odds of survival. Pete’s high voltage electrocution incident caused his heart and breathing to stop and required six operations and ten weeks of medical treatment in the ICU. Miraculously, Pete survived and continues to thrive and loves spending time exploring his local mountain range in Utah, the Wasatch Mountains. Additionally, Pete has completed a variety of ultra marathons, including the 100-mile distance. What an inspiration!
