In this episode of Million Dollar Mastermind podcast, Host Larry Weidel is joined by Robert Cornish, Founder and CEO of Richter. They discuss why you should always think up new ideas to grow your business, why you need to enjoy what you do, and why writing can unlock new, dormant parts of your brain that you hadn’t considered before.
Key highlights include:
- As a leader, you should always ask yourself: how can I keep growing? Think up new ideas by keeping a journal and writing them down; come up with a mind map; meditate on it - as long as you’re actively thinking about it, you will never be short of ideas!
- When it’s no longer becomes fun, get out. You should always do something you genuinely enjoy; that way, you don’t have to muster up any motivation; you can go into your job happy to do it, always motivated! But there will be times when you need to ask yourself why you’re still going and whether you need to pivot. Try to keep an eye on that feeling, don’t let it fester.
- Writing is more beneficial than you may think. If you don’t write down what worked in your plan, or write down ideas, or even write down how you feel, you can’t expect to grow. It’s only through writing that we think up more ideas and unlock dormant parts of our minds, you just have to allow yourself to do so.
