Toby Noe makes an unexpected visit to Walnut Grove on his way to Frisco and the Ingalls play host while he's there. As Laura gushes over another boy, Jason Brooks, at school, Toby Noe starts to gush over the Spinster Amanda Cooper. However, shyness and solitude are the major obstacles to overcome in this episode. Following the bad dating advice of Albert, Toby Noe must do something he has never done before to win the affection of Amanda Cooper...re-invent himself, aka sober up and find a job. Also following the bad dating advice of Albert, Laura now has only her father and brother to dance with at the upcoming Spring Dance. It's not until Toby Noe, investing in a little liquid courage, tells Amanda what he truly thinks of her that Amanda starts to realize there is a man out there who loves her. And realizing it's never too late to start fresh Jason Brooks, inspired by Toby and Amanda, asks Laura to the dance. Where did Amanda Cooper get her cat Percy? How come we got a second episode featuring Toby Noe? Do people have a tendency to flee when the Widow Mumford is around?
