It’s impossible to be happy and ungrateful at the same time! Think about that for a second. If you’re practicing gratitude daily you are finding joy daily. Just having another day of life on earth is a freakin GIFT! So how can you practice gratitude more often?
- Start or end your day with gratitude - Keep a gratitude journal.
- Text, call, mail a card to someone in your life that you’re grateful for and let them know you appreciate them.
- Visual reminders - Post quotes and images around your house to remind you of what you can be grateful for.
- Prayers of thanksgiving - if you pray daily don’t just pray for blessing and for help through challenges but also thank God for the blessings you already have right now.
- What did past challenges teach you/give you? Look back through old journals, photo albums, social media posts of hard times in your life and make notes about what helped you get through them and what lessons you learned. Use that information to help you find the silver linings in current troubles.
