This week at The Film Club we’re kicking off Western Month with one of the most popular Western films, Stagecoach. The film tells the story of nine strangers who board a stagecoach in Tonto, Arizona and are trying to make it to Lordsburg, New Mexico. As the stagecoach begins its journey its occupants discover that war has broken out between the Calvary and the Indigenous people so the stagecoach will be diverted to a Calvary base. On their way to their new destination they discover a man on the side of the road needing a ride and it’s none other than The Ringo Kid who is a legend but also has a bounty on his head. Ringo Kid joins the packed stagecoach and goes along on their tumultuous journey. Can the stagecoach make its way through the war zone that is in front of them and arrive in Lourdsburg? Or are they doomed to fall victim to the war? Join us as we dive into the world of Stagecoach.
