In this episode, we discuss how some preppers are purchasing Baofeng handheld radios, tossing them in the closet or bag, "just in case." 
I can almost guarantee that those who do that will not be able to use it when the need arises. HAM radio has a learning curve and there are some things that need to be done in advance, and some information that will be needed to make that ham radio work when the Stuff hits the fan.
We say, and it's true, "Ham radio works when all else fails" but it only works if you know how to use it, and to do that, you really need to get your ham radio license.
It's really not that hard, and it is a LOT of fun.
