Episode 0265 - John Stossel on the Growth of Government
Why does government grow year after year with no signs of slowing? Why is our body politic so divided on seemingly everything? Could there be something going on that doesn't really have anything to do with politics? Thomas Sowell's book Conflict of Visions does the best job of explaining these differences. Many of us know people on the other side of the political aisle. They're nice people, and we get along but they somehow see the government's role in our lives and we don't see the same level of involvement. Politics, of course, exploit this conflict but to the detriment of everybody. Join me today as we take a deeper look into this conflict of visions by commenting on a John Stossel program from 2012.

Back then two visions were at war for the future of America: On the left, the progressives, on the right, the conservatives. They clashed about the healthcare bill, Wall Street reform, and the stimulus packages. But the fight really boiled down to one key question: Do we need MORE or LESS government?
