Dedeaux Download: USC baseball moves into top 25 for first time since 2016

In this special edition of the Peristyle Podcast, newly minted as the Dedeaux Download podcast, Shotgun Spratling and Jack Smith break down the most recent week of action from USC baseball where the Trojans went 4-0 helping them move into the top 25 of multiple polls across the nation. They land at No. 24 in the D1Baseball top 25, being ranked in the poll for the first time since 2016.

Shotgun and Jack recap the Trojans' flawless week that included an 11-9 win over Loyola Marymount in the midweek and then a weekend series with San Diego State bumped up a day due to Easter weekend. USC swept the Aztecs, giving up only four runs combined in the three games while scoring 26 runs in the series.

The hosts then look at where the 20-10-1 Trojans stand in the national polls as well as the Pac-12 standings and in the RPI. They discuss USC's ranking and whether it is warranted and discuss the Trojans' postseason chances a little over halfway into the season.
