Will the Cleveland Browns cut Perrion Winfrey after his arrest? + Donovan Mitchell All-NBA 1st Team?
Cleveland Browns defensive tackle Perrion Winfrey was arrested in Harris County, Texas on Monday for misdemeanor assault.
According to police, Winfrey caused a "bodily injury" to a woman he was dating with his hands.
The Browns said in a statement on Wednesday that they are aware of Winfrey's arrest and gathering more information.
The 22-year-old Winfrey was drafted out of Oklahoma by the Browns in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft. During his rookie season, Winfrey played 342 defensive snaps in 13 games, logging 22 combined tackles, two QB hits, two passes defensed and 0.5 sacks.
So the question is: does the second year DT have a spot on the Browns next season after this?
Donovan Mitchell helped lead the Cleveland Cavaliers to the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference, but was it worthy of being named to the All-NBA 1st Team?
There's some strict competition for the spot, but Mitchell has as good a case as anyone.
Plus, the Cleveland Guardians are reeling after another loss to the Yankees. The pitching staff is beaten & battered which is taking it's toll on the bullpen early
