Miami Hurricanes Laying Foundations Of Depth w/ Bain, Ray Ray & Mauigoas, Portal & Recruiting Target
With standout additions like DE Rueben Bain, WR Ray Ray Joseph, and Francisco (LB) & Francis (OT) Mauigoa, the Miami Hurricanes are laying the foundations for greater depth in the near future. If you want to be in the same conversations with powerhouses like Georgia and Alabama, you need to get bigger, stronger, faster and DEEPER. Talent acquisition is the most important thing. Once you acquire the talent it’s up to your coaches to develop these players and put them in the right positions to succeed.
Host Alex Donno recaps how some of Miami’s additions from recruiting and the transfer portal performed in the spring game. In addition to Bain, Alex saw some good moments from redshirt freshman edge Cyrus Moss. Jason Taylor is doing a nice job mentoring him. Alex shares feedback on kicker Andy Borregales, punter Dylan Joyce, cornerback Daryl Porter Jr, and wide receivers Colbie Young, Jacolby George and Isaiah Horton. Plus, Miami’s running backs Henry Parrish Jr. and Don Chaney Jr. both contributed some hard runs, but neither broke off any huge plays. Will that be a problem for Miami’s backfield again in 2023?
Donno discusses the latest on Miami Hurricanes transfer portal targets. The Canes should have interest in defensive tackles Jeffrey M’Ba from Auburn and Bear Alexander from Georgia. In M’Ba’s case, Donno reports that Miami has reached out to him. For Bear, most of the signs are pointing him to USC. The Hurricanes are after portal wide receivers Tyler Harrell from Auburn and JaQuae Jackson from Division II. Miami has received a crystal ball to land class of 2024 cornerback Dylan Day from Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
