99. Understanding your Moral Compass in the Workplace
Today’s guest is Colleen Doyle Bryant, a ‘Common Decency Expert’ and author of five books and more than 50 learning resources about character and values. Her latest book, Rooted in Decency, her first book for an adult audience, looks at the decline in common decency in society and ways that we can build more trust and cooperation. The book looks at why America’s divisive culture is damaging common decency, and how society can get to a shared set of values that promotes cooperation and trust. Colleen has a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Duke University.
You’ll hear what a moral compass is, how your moral compass’ values are expressed or inform your actions, and how leaders can look within themselves and their company cultures to straighten or adjust their leadership styles and exhibit or lead with common human decency in their everyday actions.
