Dead Alive AKA Braindead (1992) review / dir. Peter Jackson
The gang raised a zombie baby and gets bitten by a Sumatran monkey rat this week, as they review the early Peter Jackson gross-out zombie classic, Braindead AKA Dead Alive. Lionel is a nice young man who wants nothing more than to take care of and listen to his dear (mean) old mum. When she is bit at the zoo by an exotic animal carrying a terrible disease, Lionel's mum becomes a livinbg corpse, decaying before Lionel's very eyes, all while on the hunt for human flesh. Try as he might, Lionel cannot hide what his mum has become, or the friends that she had "made" along the way.
NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART, so watch and listen at your own risk. Thank you to Patreon Joel Shinneman for the pick! It really was a big blast to talk about it upon rewatch.
