I had a box of sweaters stolen from my car a couple of weeks ago. What make this crime a "double-dip" of misfortune is my one-handed custom cut sweaters. I lose out on a number of very cool sweaters and the thief gets sweaters with one short sleeve. So we both lose! Of course I am very upset and I feel violated. Plus I did spend a bit of cash getting those sweaters custom tailored to fit my body. But I keep thinking about the thief when they finally opened up the box. I can only imagine their surprise, and the look on their face when they pulled out sweater after sweater with one short sleeve.
The funny thing for me is how I have been thinking about it. Sometimes I am mad because I was robbed. Other times I laugh at the the moment the thief pulled out the first article of clothing. Other times I will feel the financial expense of getting more clothes custom cut for my body. No matter how I think it, this one-handed crime of fashion is leaving the thief and myself a bit short handed.
