The MyBaby Craniosacral Podcast
Health & Fitness
That squeaking sound… What is that?
The squeaking sound that some babies make when they're breathing is called stridor, or laryngomalacia.
In today’s episode, we're going to go over possible causes of laryngomalacia, which include excessive tissue in the larynx or the voice box, weak laryngeal cartilage, or shortened laryngeal muscles.
As craniosacral therapists, we can help relieve symptoms of laryngomalacia if it's caused by nerve dysfunction of the vagus nerve. Learn how CST can eventually help these babies have a better time at breathing and feeding, and even help alleviate some of the other symptoms that come along with stridor, such as reflux.
