My Guest: This week, Dr. Kirt Hartzler is my guest. Dr. Hartzler has been the Superintendent of Union Public Schools in Tulsa, Oklahoma since 2013. We talk about leading the charge for a community school, which is different from a traditional school (How? Ummm... listen to the episode!). In his After Action Review, he talks about what he learned about holding virtual school on snow days.
Thanks for listening!
BIO: What’s special about Kirt is that he brings to the position a rich institutional knowledge and a strong sense of pride for “The Union Way,” rooted in his extensive teaching and administrative experience in the district.
