Episode 51: "Would You Take a Cabbage?" with Neil Forsyth
This week the boays are joined Guilt writer Neil Forsyth. With the third and final series just released, Neil discusses what to expect from the latest installment of the BBC drama, why Edinburgh works as a great backdrop for TV, and how much input a writer of a show has during the filming process. He also talks about working with Succession's Brian Cox on his Broughty Ferry-based sitcom Bob Servant, explains how he got his start in writing by mocking up foul-mouthed comic strips for a Dundee United fanzine, and reveals how blagging his way into a fancy Italian hotel landed him a crack at Hollywood. Plus, he shares some insights with the boays about his writing process and the importance of handling rejection.
